The PFAA's Interim Executive Committee collected data from 62 athletes who competed at the 2021 CrossFit Semi Finals to help competition organizers choose appropriate heights for their gymnastic rings and pull-up bars. The PFAA worked on this project in hopes it would help competitions create a high safety standard at their events, and also to help athletes compete on a fair playing field.
The data was collected between September and October of 2021 and added to a spreadsheet, detailed findings and recommendations have been added into a text document. For the privacy of the athlete's who participated the names have been removed from the spreadsheet. Both documents have been emailed to CrossFit Inc and Loud & Live Sports.
Any group or competition that wishes to use these two documents for their own purposes is welcome to do so.
The Interim Executive Committee of the PFAA created this document and provided it to CrossFit Inc September 24 2021. The PFAA wants to do its part to create consistency at events for all competing athletes. The hope was that this document provided some useful ideas to CrossFit Inc in a format similar to their current rulebook. The document was meant to be exhaustive so that a condensed version could be finalized from it.
The PFAA Executive Committee received confirmation that CrossFit Inc is working to finalize the 2022 CrossFit rulebook. They are using this document along with other recommendations they've had from other sources.
Any competition, event, or company that wishes to use this document or edit it for their own purposes is welcome to it.
